The Tester:

How did you test out the Aubrion Highwood Coat?
I have used the Aubrion Highwood Coat at events and ridden out at home in it. I also wore it at an event in September when we had terrible wet and chilly weather. Pleased to report that I was dry and cosy warm.
What was the size and fit of the coat like?
The coat is a good fit which allows freedom of movement whilst riding. There is draw cord waist which can be adjusted to suit how you like it to fit over the body.

Was the coat suitable for riding in?
Yes, it is. The coat has a concealed zip at the rear which can be undone to reveal a riding pleat inside the coat which allows it to sit nicely over the back of your saddle and horse. There are also thumbholes in the cuffs to stop the wind getting up your sleeves. Plus, the hood can be detached should you need to.
What are your favourite features?
I love the length of the coat as its long enough to keep you toasty warm over the bum and thighs without being too long that it gets in the way whilst riding. And I really like that it has fleecy pockets to keep your hands warm on a chilly day. The inside pocket is always going to be really useful. And the thumbhole cuffs keep you sleeves from riding up your arms allowing the wind up, again keeping you cosy on a chilly day.
Did the coat keep you warm and dry?
It certainly did and I will be putting this coat to good use over the winter.
